Prayer is about opening our lives and our hearts to God, experiencing intimacy and healing by connecting with our creator. Prayer shapes our hearts to be like God's heart and empowers us to share God's love in the world.

Prayer helps us to live life together as we lift each other up in our conversations with God.When Paul was writing to his friends in Philippi he told them that his gratitude and thankfulness for them led to prayers of joy. Here is his prayer for his friends, which is a great prayer to pray for those you love too:

 This is my prayer: that your love might become even more and more rich with knowledge and all kinds of insight. I pray this so that you will be able to decide what really matters and so you will be sincere and blameless on the day of Christ. I pray that you will then be filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes from Jesus Christ, in order to give glory and praise to God. (Philippians 1:9-11)
